The specific microorganisms (Lactobacillus acidophilus, Enterococcus faecium, Limosilactobacillus reuteri) are probiotic bacterial strains for dogs’ gastrointestinal health and are part of their natural intestinal flora.
Galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) support the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract, reducing E. coli populations. They also promote Bifidobacterium spp. proliferation in the colon, inhibiting harmful bacteria through competitive interactions and decreasing toxic metabolite formation. They help maintain intestinal barrier integrity by strengthening tight junctions between epithelial cells and are considered the most natural prebiotics.
The lipase in Yarrowia lipolytica yeast aids in digesting residual fat in the intestine, reducing the risk of steatorrhea. Additionally, the yeast’s oligosaccharides can bind water, pathogens, and bacterial toxins, removing them from the body. Yeast beta-glucan supports the function of non-specific immune mechanisms.
Sodium Butyrate acts as a postbiotic. It is an energy source for enterocytes, supporting their normal function. It stabilizes the structure and ensures the integrity and functionality of the intestinal wall. By lowering the intestinal pH, it creates favorable conditions for the growth of health-promoting microbiota and regulates blood flow to the intestinal mucosa.
L-Tryptophan improves communication along the gut-brain axis, strengthening epithelial cell connections and enhancing intestinal barrier integrity. As a precursor to serotonin, it regulates normal gastrointestinal function and converts to metabolites with a physiological role in intestinal anti-inflammatory processes.
Recommended Daily Dosage
1-2 capsules daily, used for at least 4-8 weeks. Capsules may be administered directly or mixed with food. Fresh water should always be available. If used concurrently with antibiotics, separate administration is recommended.
